The Minister in charge of the Government of Companies, David Amsalem, approved the distribution of dividends trapped by the public defense company Rafael Advanced Defense Systems today. Rafael will transfer 444 million nis to the state, learned « Globes ». Previously, the Minister of Defense Israel Katz gave his approval to this decision.
Amsalem welcomed the 8,500 Rafael employees for their contribution to the State of Israel. The Minister said that the company was a model of excellence and daring in the defense industry of Israel and that the dividend would be an important way to continue to develop the country’s defenses.
Amsalem asked the director of the authority of government societies King Kahlon to pursue a proactive policy in all competitive government societies. In this context, substantial dividend payments are expected during the coming year, in order to meet war needs and finance the state budget. Amsalem stressed that strong and effective state companies were a vital component of Israel’s economy and that they should be managed in order to maximize their profits and apply these profits for the benefit of the public, as in the payment of dividends.
Rafael should publish his 2024 finances at the end of March. They will probably show another record year for the company, as in the case of Israel Aerospace Industries, which this week published finances showing a record backlog of $ 25 billion at the end of 2024.
